Lakes Region United Way - Win a Cruise promotion  

These Official Rules & Regulations govern the conduct of the Promotion and, together with the decisions of Lakes Region United Way (LRUW) are binding on everyone who participates in this promotion. This promotion is a fundraising activity in support of the LRUW conducted by the LRUW.

Eligibility: Open to all individuals who support the community via giving a $100.00 minimum donation to Lakes Region United Way (LRUW) during this pledge drive. Donations received from workplace campaigns managed by LRUW or received from outside LRUW's service area and designated to the LRUW are also eligible. Each individual donor who gives a valid qualifying donation will be considered to have one or more automatic entries for one of five Grand Prizes, depending on donation amount. Check or credit card donations must have cleared at time of drawing for eligibility. Payroll deduction pledges must be paid in full before prize can be awarded. Donor must have provided a valid method of contact to LRUW or official pledge collection representative at time of donation and contact information must be made available to LRUW upon request. Corporate matches may not be used to make individual donors eligible or to move individual donors to higher levels of eligibility. Employees and spouses of CruCon Cruise Outlet and LRUW, and LRUW board members sitting at the time of drawing are not eligible for this promotion. Participants must be 18 years or older to be eligible for a prize.

Promotional period: Promotion commences at 12:00am (EST) on September 1, 2011 and will end at 11:59pm (EST) on June 1, 2012. All employee campaign pledge data must be received at LRUW offices by 11:59pm (EST) on June 1, 2012.  All on-line donations must be made and completed on the LRUW website by midnight on May 31, 2012.

Drawing Date: Winning names will be drawn on 6/15/12. The winning donor in each donation level will be randomly selected from a pool of donors at that particular level of giving. Oversight of the selection process will be provided by an independent third party.

Winner Notification: Winner will be notified within 72 hours of drawing. All contact attempts shall be made via contact information provided by the donor. If contact is not possible within 30 days, another random winner will be drawn.

Prizes: Certificates for FIVE (5) separate cruises have been donated by CruCon Cruise Outlet in hopes of inspiring greater levels of giving throughout the Lakes Region. All cruises are based on double occupancy: each certificate is good for two people. Winners are not obligated to accept the cruise if they so choose.

Donation level: $ 100 - $ 499
Prize: 7 night roundtrip Bermuda cruise from Boston in an Oceanview cabin. Applicable Sailing Date Range: Aug. 2012- May 2014. Applicable Cruise Line: Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL). Chances: Earn one chance for donating between $100 and $199.99; earn two chances for donating between $200 and $299.99; earn three chances for donating between $300 and $399.99; earn four chances for donating between $400 and $499.99. Donation level: $ 500 - $ 999
Prize: 7-10 night Caribbean Cruise including airfare roundtrip BOSTON in an Oceanview cabin. Applicable Cruise Line (s): Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Princess, Holland America, NCL Applicable Sailing Date Range: Oct. 2012- May 2014. Chances: Earn one chance for donating between $500 and $749.99; Earn two chances for donating between $750 and $999.99. Estimated odds for winning: 1 in 400

Prize: 7-15 night Hawaii Cruise including airfare roundtrip BOSTON- Oceanview cabin. Applicable Cruise Line (s): Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Princess, Holland America, NCL. Applicable Sailing Date Range: Oct. 2012- May 2014. Chances: Earn one chance for donating between $1000 and $1,499.99; earn two chances for donating between $1500 and $1,999.99. Estimated odds for winning: 1 in 200

Donation level: $ 2000 - $ 4999
Prize: 7-14 night Mediterranean Cruise including airfare roundtrip BOSTON- Oceanview cabin. Applicable Cruise Line (s): Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Princess, Holland America, NCL
Applicable Sailing Date Range: Oct. 2012- May 2014. Chances: Earn one chance for donating between $2000 and $3499.99; earn two chances for donating between $3500 and $4,999.99. Estimated odds for winning: 1 in 50

Donation level: $ 5000 and above
Prize:: 10-14 night Australia Cruise including airfare roundtrip BOSTON- Oceanview cabin
Applicable Cruise Line (s): Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Princess, Holland America. Applicable Sailing Date Range: Oct. 2012- May 2014. Chances: Earn one chance for every $5000 donated between $5000 and $25,000. Estimated odds for winning: 1 in 25

Prize Limitations: The winning donor will have until May 2014 to use the certificate. The certificate is transferable. The certificate must be redeemed thru CruCon Cruise Outlet. Each certificate will clearly denote a range of sailing dates and cruise line(s) that the winner can select from as noted above. Each cruise certificate will also include the setback date from the selected sailing date by which the winner must provide to CruCon the legal names and dates of birth of the parties sailing on the cruise. All government and air taxes, fees, and port charges will be included in the cruise certificate. Winner will be responsible for ensuring proper immigration documentation (i.e. Passport, Visa) as well as any onboard expenses (i.e. gratuities, shore excursions, etc.).

Responsibility of Winner: Winner is responsible for all applicable Federal and State taxes, license and registration fees. The winning donations are tax deductible only for the amount the donation exceeds the dollar value of the cruise. Dollar value of each cruise can be obtained for tax purposes by contacting CruCon Cruise Outlet at 1-800-493-6609. Donors and winners should consult their tax advisor for more detailed information before claiming prize.

Cancellation: LRUW reserves the right to terminate or suspend this Promotion or to amend the Official Rules at any time and in any way, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever. Without limiting the foregoing, if for any reason the Promotion is not capable of running as originally planned, for example as a result of tampering or infection by computer virus, LRUW reserves the right to terminate the Promotion and conduct a random draw from all other eligible entries received prior to the termination of the Promotion.

Limitation of Liability: LRUW and each of their respective directors, officers, employees and agents is released from any and all liability any and all losses, damages, costs, expenses, rights, claims and actions of any kind with respect to participation in the promotion and use of the prize awarded. All CruCon rules, warranties, and restrictions apply to their products.

Other: It is the intent of LRUW to promote this activity to its best ability, but LRUW cannot be held responsible if a current or potential donor is unaware of the promotion. These Official Promotion Rules may not be waived, modified or supplemented except by LRUW. No modification of these official Promotion rules shall be enforceable unless made by LRUW. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited.
