Financial Stability Partnership

The mission of Lakes Reigon United Way's Financial Stability Partnership is to increase the number of families living in the Lakes Region who are financially independent. We will help bring financial stability to families by re-designing how services interact with families in need, continuing to offer services that are affordable and through education and income enhancement opportunities.

A recent initiative of the Lakes Region United Way's Financial Stability Partnership is responding to the growing number of families applying for the free or reduced lunch program in local school districts. Recent referrals indicate as many as 3 out of 4 kids in a neighborhood elementary school are now enrolled in the program. This early poverty indicator will trigger voluntary enrollment in a pilot program to redirect families to area services in an expedient manner giving both the family and local programs an early opportunity to reverse this slippery slope into poverty and set the family back on a self-sufficient path.

Below are the documents related to the poverty diversion pilot program of the Lakes Region United Way and its Financial Stability Partnership.
