Volunteerism is a core value of the Lakes Region United Way. We would not be the organization we are today were not for our volunteers. The same can be said for our Lakes Region community. We encourage volunteerism in the community not only because it fosters community development through community engagement. It is no coincidence that those who are engaged in the community tend to be active investors in the community. The more active investors we have, the stronger we can expect to be as a community.
